Performance Analysis of Various Weighting Schemes for Multiple Access Array Antenna Wireless Receiver Systems at S-band
The paper analyses the performance of different weighting mechanisms commonly used for multiple access wireless system at S-band. The spatially separated multiple beams are generated to facilitate the multiple access reception using the Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA).The performance analysis is done by studying half power beam width(HPBW), side lobe levels(SLLs) , directivity, gain of the various weighting schemes that include Uniform, Binomial, Dolph-Tschebyshev, Taylors and Blackman-Harris using MATLAB. It is found that given a set of desired characteristics in terms of the HPBW, SLL , directivity only a given distribution satisfies it.
