Selective Enrichment of Biomolecules Containing Cis-diols Using Boronic acid-modifed Gold Nanoparticles for Capillary Electrophoresis Analysis
In this study, a selective enrichment method is developed for fast and efficient biomolecules containing cis-diols investigation. Gold nanoparticles were first synthesised ,then modifed with 4-mercaptophenylboronic acid to provide porous substrate with large specific surface and dual functions. Catechol was employed as a standard biomolecules to investigate the enrichment efficiency. In this way, the enrichment, washing and detection steps can all be investigated. Under the optimized conditions, the sensitivity was enhanced by 20-fold as compared with regular CE. With the established method, catechol in a human urine sample was determined.
