Discussion on Assessment of Environmental Protective Performance for Warm-compaction Reed Material

Reed, who lives in all over the world, is one of renewable ecological materials for harvest per year. The environmental protective performance for warm-compaction reed material was studied by GC/MS in order to reveal achievements and existent problems. The main constituents of volatiles at 40°С were. acetic acid(75.08%), di-n-octyl phthalate(3.48%), (+)-epibicyclosesquiphellandrene(1.85%), 2-propanone, 1-hydroxy-(1.69%), 1,1:3,1-terphenyl-2-ol (1.53%), propylene glycol(1.26%), furfural(1.25%), caryophyllene(1.03%), cedrol(0.95%), etc. The main constituents of volatiles at 60°С were acetic acid(72.98%), cedrol(2.35%), 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, diis ooctyl ester(1.97%), hexadecane(1.45%), 1-ethyl-3,3-bis (trifluoromethyl)diaziridine(1.45%), 2-propanone, 1-hydroxy-(1.41%), 1,1:3,1-terphenyl-2-ol (1.26%), (2,3-diphenylcyclopropyl)methylphenyl sulfoxide, trans-(1.25%), furfural(1.17%), cyclotrisiloxane, hexamethyl-(1.11%), bicyclo2.2.1heptan-2-one, 1,7,7-trimethyl-, (1r)-(1.1%), pentadecane, 2,6,10-trimethyl-(0.87%), etc. So the warm-compaction reed material was safe below 60°С.
