Simulation Analysis of Bending Properties of Copper Alloy For Lead Frame Materials
Copper alloy has a lot of excellent properties, so it becomes an important alloy for lead frame materials. The bending forming process of four different copper alloys (Cu-Fe-P, Cu-Ni-Si, Cu-Cr-Sn-Zn, Cu-Cr-Zr-Mg) for lead frame materials is analyzed by finite element. Tensile tests for the four kinds of materials were done to obtain yield limit, ultimate strength and other parameters. Strain-hardening exponent n and normal anisotropy index r of the materials were got according to the stress-strain curve. The minimum bending radius of corresponding materials is available by the simulation analysis, and the bending properties of the different materials are compared. The results show that the bending property of Cu-Cr-Sn-Zn alloy is best, Cu-Fe-P alloy and Cu-Cr-Zr-Mg alloy followed, Cu-Ni-Si alloy worst.
