Preparation and Performance research on the Al2O3–TiB2 Composite Ceramic Coatings Prepared by Solid Sate Reaction on AZ31B Alloy
Al-TiO2-B2O3 reaction system was induced and the ultra-fine powder was prepared by mechanical alloying (MA), and the Al2O3-TiB2 composite ceramic coatings were prepared by solid sate reaction method on AZ31B alloy surface. The phase composition of powder and coatings, particle size, coatings cross section were studied by X-ray, Laser particle size analyzer, SEM, DTA. The wear and corrosion resistance of the coatings were tested. The results show that the powders granularity is closed to nano-scale; such as Al2O3, TiB2, ZnAl2O4 and MgAl2O4 are found in the coatings with 400℃calefaction solidify; and the relative wear resistance of sealant coatings increase by up to 16.4 times. The relative corrosion resistance of coatings increased by up to 13.37 times, but it increases by up to 37.68 times after treatment by sealant.
