Preparation and Performance Study of Polyurethane Film by Industrial Solid Wastes-Alkali Lignin
Alkali lignin, the main component of alkaline pulp black liquor in the paper industry, is an abundant and renewable resource. It can be used to substitute for part of polyethylene glycol (PEG) in the synthesis of alkali-lignin polyurethane (PU) films, which will reduce the cost of polyurethane production and turn waste into treasure. In this study, the alkali-lignin PU films were prepared from alkali lignin by solution casting with PEG and toluene diisocynate (TDI) in the solvent of N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF). In order to prepare PU with the optimum conditions, two factors NCO/OH ratio and alkali-lignin content were studied. The prepared membrane materials were also characterized by SEM and TGA. The results showed that the PU film had good chemical resistance and high working performances, too.
