Status of Biomass Waste Production and Energy Resource Potential in China
Biomass wastes are the main components of solid waste. It could contribute large pollution to environment and also be seen as a potential and practical renewable new energy resource. Agriculture biomass, animal manure and municipal organic solid waste are main biomass waste. In this paper, the current status, the potential of energy generation, the potential of environmental pollution, the anaerobic digestion of organic waste technology situation were introduced. In addition, a methane recovery technology from municipal sludge was presented as a biomass waste to energy case.
