Orthogonal Experiments of Enriching Valuable Metals from Waste Printed Circuits Boards by Hydraulic Shaker

The waste printed circuit boards (PCBs) is a focus for study due to containing many kinds of valuable metals. In this study, orthogonal experiments through Design-Expert software are carried out to treat the waste PCBs material below 1mm which has been crushed by MX impact crusher. During Orthogonal experiments, the effects of water flow, transverse gradient of hydraulic shaker and feeding concentration were designed to examine. The results showed that when water flow reached 1200L/h, feeding concentrations attained 25% and transverse gradient achieve 3.5°, the grade of copper can increase from 21.69% to 55.13% after concentration by hydraulic shaker, besides, the recovery and total metal recovery attain 75.42% and 72.2% respectively.
