Study of Sb2O3 Effects on the Properties of Foam Glass from Waste CRT Panel Glass Recycling
In this paper, low density foam glass was prepared from scrap CRT panel glass by powder-sintering method. The effects of addictive content, antimony trioxide (Sb2O3), on morphology, density, and mechanical properties of the prepared foam glass were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and thermal conductivity instrument. The results showed that under the same heating conditions, when optimal additive amount of Sb2O3 was 2.0 mass%, the density and compressive strength of foam glass were 0.1857 g/cm3 and1.0534 Mpa, respectively, and distribution of pore size was homogeneous.
