Study on Three Estimation Methods for Discarded Household Appliances in China
It analyzed three methods namely using sales volume, annual increment of social owning amount and social owning amount coefficient respectively to estimate the discarded household appliances. Comparing these methods, we obtained that the method of using social owning amount coefficient was more reasonable. Based on the estimation results of this method, the quantities of the different recycling materials from discarded household appliances were also estimated. The results of this study could be used to forecast the discarded household appliances to help all relative authorities to make appropriate policies and development planning, and to push the household appliances recycling industry developing sustainably.
