The Preparation of Activated Copper Oxide from Low-Grade Copper Containing Waste PCB
The recycling of copper from low-grade copper containing waste PCB and deep processed into activated copper oxide has attracted more and more attentions. In this paper, a new method of manufacturing activated copper oxide using “ammonia leaching—deamination—roasting technique from copper content range from 1% to 10% of waste PCB powders has been presented, the production devices are designed perfected, the ammonia leaching separation and roasting process conditions have been investigated, and the reliability of this manufacturing process has been tested and verified practical. The recovery ratio of copper is more than 99%, the purity of activated copper oxide which is brown rod-like in TEM and SEM pictures is no less than 98.5% by using XRD determination and the particle size is about 0.3~0.6μm.
