Technology Research of Sludge Co-Processing in Cement Kiln
Disposal of municipal sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plant has attracted widespread attention because the quantity of sludge is larger and larger. The feasibility of sludge co-processing in cement kiln were analyzed by the characterization of the sludge and cement raw materials. The advantages of the sludge disposal in the cement kiln are explained from the cement process. The two different technologies, dewater sludge by waste heat drying co-processing and original sludge co-processing, were introduced. The different impacts on cement production of two methods were discussed by the trial data. The advantage and disadvantage of two technologies were contrasted from handling capacity, investment and cost etc. The principles how to choose the better method between two technologies are mentioned.
