Intense Pulsed Field Emission of Carbon nanotube Film grown on electroless plated Ni substrate
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted considerable attentions for their potential use in the field of emission applications due to their nanometer scale, high aspect ratio, superior mechanical strength, good conductance and high chemical stability 1-3. The focus on field emission and its applications of most current research work was taken to direct current (DC) emission mode. Recently, the emission characteristics from transplanted CNT Films in intense pulsed emission mode were reported 4-5. However, the report about the intense pulsed emission characteristics from directly grown CNT films has not been found yet. In this paper, we report the intense pulsed emission characteristics from CNT films directly grown on electroless plated Ni substrate.
