Improved Emission Uniformity of Printed Carbon Nanotubes by Adding Graphene Conductive Network

Since the discovery of Carbon Nanotube (CNT) by Iijima in 1991, it has been taken on as the best candidate of field emission material due to its remarkable properties, such as high aspect ratio, small tip radius of curvature and large current density. The applications of CNTs for field emission display (FED) have been researching for many years; however, the emission stability and uniformity of CNTs cathode have not been solved effectively. In recent years, graphene inspired researchers due to its unique electronic properties, including high carrier mobility, ballistic transport, and quantum interference. But field emission properties of graphene are not so good because of the two-dimensional (2D) structure, and the sample preparation of graphene for field emission is very difficult.
