Ista 7e Development of General Heat and Cold Temperature Profiles
This paper and presentation details the final results of a project that was first presented in 2007 byISTA at the IAPRI Conference in the United Kingdom. It describes how science, engineering, industry,academia, and consultants developed testing profiles to meet the pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharmaceuticalindustries needs for design and qualification of insulated shipping containers used for the transport andcan develop it was used. Appling the correct science to sufficient data increases the confidence of testing forthe distribution process. New profiles for Heat and Cold temperature will be presented that will beincorporated into a new ISTA Test Procedure 7E, Testing Standard for Thermal Transport Packaging Usedin Parcel Delivery System Shipment.
