Sustainable Packaging and Corporate Strategy

ChinaSustainability is a complex question and is receiving increasing attention in the packaging domain. However, the study about it is deficient presently. Only several literatures have been published on the definition of sustainable packaging. In the work, the different definition of sustainable packaging from different department was introduced. In addition, some case studies were given about how the companies did to make the sustainability. The companies include Sealed Air, ANG Newspapers, Aveda and Nike. How reducing resource, recycling and reuse materials were explained through concrete figures. At last, the authors gave some advices about what was the corporate strategy for the sustainable packaging. Six aspects were introduced. They were aggrandizement the consciousness of sustainable packaging, exploitation market of sustainable packaging, building legal supervision and professional organization for sustainable packaging, development sustainable packaging materials, building effective recovery system for packaging waste and development green logistics for sustainable packaging.
