Multispectral Image Capturing System for Colour Measurement and Colour Communication
This research is dealing with a development which leads to the ultimate and objective standards incolour. From colour definition to colour management, physical and visual parameters aretaken into considerationfor a binding agreement on the colour perception, while the object structure as well as the visual pictureand the spectral environment are measured and integrated in a colour model of the package. Picturebased spectral data can for the first time be measured, compared and communicated even world wide by usersin the packaging industry with the can:scan system, based on the described research and development. Thus, it is possible to conduct measurements on the final product, irrespective of the surface mode, the positionof the object or the material characteristics. All picture contents including measurement transfers can bedistributed world wide in real time throughout the internet, thus working groups can collaborate on a packagedesign and realization across the borders.
