Plasma ct-1 in response to submaximal exercise in college studetns of different training status
Introduction: Cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) is a member of interleukin 6 family that is involved in the regulation of cardiovascular system. It stimulates the proliferation of cardiomyocytes and plays an important cardio-protective role in myocardial damage. However, no reports have documented the level of CT-1 following exercise training. This study was to evaluate plasma levels in response to acute exercise of different training status to understand the role of CT-1 in exercise and the mechanism underlining these changes.
