A study on the culture of Chinese whistling archery: take tibetan kongpo whistling archery for example

Introduction: Even though Ancient China doesnt have sports of modern forms, the culture of traditional Chinese sports has had a very long history. As a unique traditional sports activity starting from hunting and wars, whistling Archery was developed in ordinary production and life and gradually evolved into a traditional sports activity. It was widely used in the semi-lunar prairie areas where hunting was the major living method, including Northeast China, Mongolia, Xinjiang and Tibet. The historical record shows that whistling Archery has already had a history of over 3000 years and is still practiced until now. Tibetan Kongpo Whistling Archery and Xinjiang Xibo, which are the two best preserved ones in China, has become an important ingredient of traditional Chinese sports culture. In this case, the study of this traditional sport is of great significance not only to the sport itself but also to the development of the traditional Chinese sports culture.
