The effects of different backpack loads on the trunk and lower limb kinematics during unplanned gait termination
Introduction: Unplanned gait termination is a strategy to avoid falling and suddenly external interference, and backpack carriage is a common phenomenon in our daily life, however the extra load and suddenly external interference may increase the possibility of falling. It is unclear what kinematics change will happen as unplanned gait termination with a load carriage. The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of unplanned gait termination on trunk and lower limb kinematics so as a preliminary study for further study the postural adaptation to unplanned gait termination with load carriage.
