Percentage of heart rate reserve is an appropriate predictor for % V02max in diabetic type 2
Introduction: Perhaps the most important component, particularly in terms of safety and efficacy during exercise rehabilitation in health and patients people, is exercise intensity. Using the appropriate exercise intensity when prescribing exercise is an important factor in effectively improving cardiorespiratory fitness. In general, exercise intensity should be set at a level induces a training effect, but does not provoke abnormal clinical signs and symptoms. Percentages of maximal heart rate (% HRmax) are widely used to determine training intensities. Heart rate (HR) monitoring represents a promising tool for measurement because it is a physiological parameter that correlates well with energy expenditure (EE).
