All-Optical Clock Recovery Based on a Quantum-Dash Fabry-Perot Semiconductor Laser in a 3R Regenerator with Modulation Format Conversion at 40 Gb/s

An assessment of all-optical clock extraction based on a mode-locked quantum dash Fabry-Pérot semiconductor laser is demonstrated. The implementation of this function in 3R regenera-tion scheme with modulation format conversion at 40 Gb/s is also achieved.
