Retrospect and Prospect of Forage Plant Germplasm Conservation in China

摘要：

Forage plant germplasm conservation received more attention and funding from Chinese government agencies, consequently many research projects were initiated, implemented and completed in the recent 30 years. This manuscript is aimed to summarize the achievements made in the collection, conversation, evaluation, protection and employment of the forage germplasm in China, and to analyze the major challenges currendy existing in the herbaceous germplasm conservation, and to prospect the direction and work ahead in the near future.
