Experimental Study on Inhibition Effect after Coal Seam Water Injection
In order to further investigate the mechanism of coal seam water injection to prevent coal and gas outburst, laboratory test methods are used, experiments were done with method of water injection after coal fully adsorbed methane. By experiments, gas desorption isotherms, gas desorption rates and residual gas contents are gotten. From the test results, we can get the following conclusions: with high pressure water filtering into the pores of coal, the residual water in coal body has inhibition effect to adsorption methane, which reduce coal gas emission rate and quantity, and make gas desorption rate curve become more smooth and residual gas content increase. So that, water injection is benefit for coal and gas outburst prevention, and the inhibition effect is an important role in the mechanism of outburst prevention.
