A 3.1-to-9.6GHz 12-Band WiMedia UWB Transceiver in 0.13um CMOS
This paper presents a low-power UWB transceiver covering 3.1 to 9.6GHz of RF spectrum and complying with WiMedia specifications. Transceiver has a single-chain wideband front-end with 7GHz bandwidth and a 12-band fast-hopping direct frequency synthesizer. Built in general purpose 0.13um CMOS, the chip consumes 330mW and 280mW peak power in RX and TX mode, respectively.
