An Improved Formalism for the lternating- Direction Implicit Finite-Difference Time- Domain by Conformal Mapping Method
In this paper, a three-dimensional (3-D) Alternating-Direction Implicit (ADI) method combination with conformal mapping method is used to analyze the cavity with curved surface. The improved formalism in the ADI-FDTD is described. Both time-domain waveforms and resonant frequencies are presented. The numerical simulations of the typical example show that the time step with this ADI-FDTD method is ten times larger than that with the traditional FDTD without the large loss of accuracy compared with those obtained by the finite element method (FEM).
