Analysis on the Free Vibration Characteristics of Gate Rubber Seal Considering Fluid-solid Coupling
With the development of hydraulic construction, many high water-head, long-span gates have been constructed, which demand gate seal with higher performance. Due to the self-excited vibration of the gate seal, hydraulic gates always damages, which makes the importance of studies on gate seals increasingly outstanding. Triple nonlinear effect of the rubber material is considered by software ANSYS 10. 0. Finite element analyses are carried out, in order to discuss the influence of the seal length, the bolt pre-stress and fluid-solid coupling on the seal free vibration characteristics. Based on the practices, some feasible scheme will be proposed to avoid the seal free vibration. This research can provide valuable reference for the study on the free vibration of the gate seal.
