Long-Term Scheduling of Large-Scale Hydropower Systems for Energy Maximization
A procedure called k-criterion method is introduced to solve the large-scale hydropower scheduling problem. It can reflect the internal operating principle of the hydropower system directly. In order to avoid the difficulties arising from calculating the equations in the process, the coordinates rotation method is adopted to transfer the decisionmaking process for multi-reservoirs simultaneously to single reservoir gradually. Utilizing the routine operation chart of hydro plant, the k-criterion method is improved and the result derived from it is more reasonable. Taking for an example of the largescale hydropower system which consists of eleven hydro plants in the middle-upper Yangtze River basin, the mo el of maximizing the energy with fixed firm power is tested in the paper.
