Overall Geometry of a Submerged Inclined Jump Over a Sill
In this experimental study the overall geometry of a submerged inclined (angle φ with 0°≤φ≤12°) water jump over a sill is presented, analyzed and discussed. Two equations are given for the upstream and downstream dimensionless important lengths of these parts of the entire flow region. The overall flows free surface profiles are also presented and pertinent equations are determined in dimensionless terms. The results may be useful to the hydraulic engineer when designing the stabilization of a weak jump through a sill.
