Laboratory Experiment on Reparation of Anti-Seepage Wall in Overburden Base of Dam

Through the laboratory experiment by grouting in sandy gravels, which carried on in the sandbox, the study on anti-seepage wall reparation in the overburden base of dam was conducted. Firstly, after thinking a-bout the mixing ratio, the gel time, stone body intensity, grouting costs, grouting procedure etc., the cement slurry was finally selected as the grouting material and related parameters were determined. Secondly, on the basis of the test in relations among grouting pressure, grouting velocity and diffusing scale of slurry, connectivity of grouting calculus was observed and the vertical layout of the hole filling was determined, moreover how the changing of flow velocity under different water heads affecting diffusing of grout was studied. Finally, in terms of the reparation on anti-seepage wall, the effect of anti-seepage wall reparation by grouting was discussed. The results indicated that the parameters obtained in simulating experiment had the certain practical significance on the designing of reparation of anti-seepage wall and perfecting the anti-seepage theory of overburden dam foundation.
