Laboratory Experiment for the River Bank Sedimentation

摘要：

An experimental investigation was conducted with the construction of Bandals structure in the mobile bed at the laboratory river channel of the River Research Institute, Faridpur, Bangladesh. A series of test runs were conducted with the controlled condition by placing bandals at the river bank of the channel. It was found that water flow diverted towards the main river due to bandal structures resulting maximum velocity accumulated at the main channel whereas comparatively less velocity appeared near the river bank where bandals structures are placed resulting sediment deposition.
