Characteristics Research of Vortexesat Dissymmetrical Boundary Intake
A vortex test device was set up for physical modeling test of relationship between critical submerged depth and Fr both at symmetrical and dissymmetrical boundary intakes. It is obtained from comparison that dissymmetrical boundary intake was easier to induce vortex than symmetrical boundary intake. PIV was used to measure flow field and vorticity field at intakes. Under the same condition, the max. value of vorticity at dissymmetrical boundary intake is smaller than that at symmetrical one. but Nr at dissymmetrical boundary intake is bigger than that at symmetrical one.
