Experimental Study on Flucuating Pressure of Flow around 8 Cylinders

Characteristics of flucuating pressure of flow around 8 cylinders in radial arrangement are studied though hydraulic model test. Research shows that flucuating pressure can be regarded as stationary random process. The influence of flow interference between two cylinders in side-by-side is greater than in tandem. Affected by clearance flow and wake flow, valley value appears at medial cylinder. Inclined cylinder deflects separation layer and wake, and superposition causes a fluctuating pressure peak. Fluctuating pressure on cylinders in lateral flow is larger, and its distribution is more complex. In small space, Strouhal numbers of eight cylinders are about 0. 03.
