Dear Editor, The current flu epidemic caused by influenza A H1N1 (A/H1N1) virus, which first appeared in Mexico emerged as a communicable human disease in late March and rapidly spread throughout the world in April 2009. Due to the rapid transport systems in modern times, the epidemic affected about 121 countries in less than 4 months (http://www.who.int/csr/don/2009_ 07_16/en/).
