Study on the dyeing wastewater by the photo catalytic oxidation membrane bioreactor (pMBR)
A self-designed MBR was added the photo catalystTiO2 which was immobilized on polyurethane foam (PF) cubes tomake a pMBR. The PF cubes can suspend and circulate in theMBR. The photo degradation of dyeing wastewater wasoptimized by evaluating the effects of different factors, such as,COD, BOD5 concentration, carrier dosage and itsmicroorganisms. The result showed that the photo catalyticoxidation zone in MBR tank was playing a main role in removingthe pollutions and the COD, BOD5 and color removal efficiencywas high to 95%, 90% and 95% in pMBR, respectively.Microorganisms in the MBR were also studies, which showed agood growth. The monitoring result indicated that the effluentquality of the MBR was better than the water quality standardfor miscellaneous water consumption and scenic environment use(GB/T 18921-2002), and the effluent could be totally used forirrigation.
