The Biological Toxicity of Ferrite NanoNi-Zn Materials on Blood and Cells

The influences of ferrite nanoNi-Zn powders onblood and cells of rats are studied by biological andphysiological methods. The ferrite nanoNi-Zn powders aremade by high-tem-perature oxidized method, its size is50-80nm obtained by Scanning Electron Microscope and X-ray diffraction image. From the experiment we find that theamount of leucocytes in the bloods in the experimental groupis considerably large than that in the controlled group(p<<0.05) , but the amount of erythrocytes in the controlledgroup is considerably high than that in the Experimentalgroup (p<<0.01). The obvious differences show that theferrite nanoNi-Zn powders have the evident biological effectand can change the biochemical and general indexes of bloodof the rats. We measure and collect the infrared spectra ofabsorption of hemaglobins in the bloods after injection offerrite nanoNi-Zn powders and find the variations of thestrengths and wavenumbers of peaks in their infrared spectrarelative to that in cotrolled group. This shows the molecularstructure of hematoglobin changes in such a case. Just so, theabove biological effects of ferrite nanoNi-Zn occur.
