The purification of alkaline and thermostable lipase from a newly isolated strain Acinetobacter calcoaceticus 1-7

A newly isolated moderate thermophilic strain 1-7producing alkaline and thermostable lipase previously was identifiedas Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, which was isolated from the soilcollected from bay of Bohai in China. The lipase showed maximumactivity at pH 9.0 and high thermostability. The lipase fromAcinetobacter calcoaceticus 1-7 was purified by ammonium sulfateprecipitation, ion exchange chromatography and Sephadex G-75chromatography. The molecular mass (Mr) of the lipase wasestimated to be 30 kDa using SDS-PAGE.
