Biosorption of humic acid by Aspergillus fumigatus mycelial pellets cultured under different conditions

The fungal mycelial pellets of Aspergillus fumigatuswas used for the removal of humic acid from aqueous solution. The impact of culture age, mycelial pellets preservation time, anddifferent nutrition-cultured mycelial pellets on the biosorption ofhumic acid was studied. The results showed that humic acidcould be adsorbed by Aspergillus fumigatus mycelial pellets.Sucrose could be a good cultivate carbon source. The biosorptioncapacity reached 8.96 mg/g by the mycelial pellets cultivated for10d. The biomass was not suitable for preservation for too longperiod at 0~4 ℃.Five g/L of glucose concentration in culture wassufficient for the biosorption.
