A note on the influence of pretreatment on the photodiscoloration by UV light as a function of energy of wood
The effect of the pretreatment by acid and bleacher oncolor changes and FT-IR spectra of wood surfaces of B.platyphylla due to irradiation has been examined. To monitor therelationship, L*, a*, b*, △E* parameters and FT-IR spectra ofsamples surface were analyzed quantitatively byspectrophotometer and FT-IR at the different irradiation time.Irradiation time was altered between 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120h. Ourfindings showed that acid treatment promoted photo-discolorationand bleaching treatment enhanced the lightnessvalue and b* value. The changes of the surface colors wererelated to carbonyl compounds, phenolic hydroxyl,paraquinones, ortho quinine and so on.
