Dispersion Correction of Bio-Tissue Imaging by Optical Coherence Tomography

The resolution of optical coherence tomography isdegraded the dispersion of samples,as well as the dispersionintroduced by optical structure. Water is taken as sample, and meansof data transform process is introduced in compensating dispersionaccording to optical characteristics of water. The dispersion effect inan image of muscle tissue of mouse is also corrected. In experience,1550nm optical source and fiber Michelson interferometer are used toget imaging signal from planes under water and muscle tissue ofmouse. Data is compensated to the third order optical dispersion ofwater and rapid scanning optical delay line, and a tunable phasefactor is introduced to improve the results of compensation. Theresults measured in experiments are satisfactory, and the presentmethods are verified experimentally.
