Mouse Atlas conversion for FEM in Fluorescence Tomography Reconstruction

This paper develops a remeshing module to generatevalid meshes for FEM in the application of Fluorescence Tomog-raphyReconstruction (FTR), and it is constructed based on amouse atlas (Digimouse). To our knowledge, few of the recentmesh models have been employed in the area of FTR. In ouralgorithm, the tetrahedron collapse and refinement operations areapplied successively to increase mesh quality and density. Only afraction of the mesh is loaded for tomography reconstruction toreduce memory consumption and computation burden. We showthat the algorithm preserves the mesh quality while increasingthe density of points.
