SAD based Sensor-less Freehand 3D Ultrasound Reconstruction with Adaptive Curve Correction
This paper presents a real-time sensor-less ultrasound3D motion estimation algorithm. The out-of-plane motion of theultrasound probe could be obtained by the decorrelation of thespeckle pattern in ultrasound b-scan frames. The algorithm usesSAD as the indication of decorrelation to obtain the motion of theframe. To improve the accuracy in scans of real-tissue, anadaptive curve correction method is also applied. Theexperiments show that its feasible and necessary for the adaptivecurve correction method to be used in SAD based approach.
