The Discussion of the Location of Iris Recognition System

With the development of biometric recognitiontechnology, because of its unique characteristics, iris recognitionhave attracted more and more attention of researchers, whichmakes iris recognition system developed rapidly. In the wholeprocess of iris recognition, the location of iris is considerd as acrucial aspect. Since the location is the first step of iris imageprocess, the accuracy and quality of location will directly affect theultimate resoults of iris recognition. This paper will summarize theideas of the existed iris location algorithms, and introduce somecommon methods as well as compare with their advantages anddisadvantages.
