An Approach to Detection of Physiological Signals on Lumbar Vertebra Based on Infrared Sequence Images

In this paper, a method is developed to detect thephysiological signals on lumbar vertebra based on infraredsequence images. Firstly, an infrared dynamic image acquisitionsystem is constructed, and then infrared sequence images on thelumbar vertebra are acquired for 30s. Then, the time-lapsesignal of mean gray value of region of interest (ROI) is obtained.Then, the power spectral density (PSD) is calculated by threemethods: periodogram, Welch and AR model. From thespectrum graph, we can get some meaningful signals includingheart rate, respiration rate and so on. It will be very useful for the clinical diagnoses and treatment of lumbar disc herniation.
