Quantitative Evaluation of muscle Spasticity Based on Independent Component Analysis
spasticity is one component of the upper motorneuron syndrome, which also includes motor deficits and loss offine movement. Spasticity interferes with the patients naturalmovement or patients remaining functional possibilities. After astudy on the independent component analysis (ICA), fast ICAalgorithm method is used to restore a clear-cut thighelectromyography (EMG) and angle curves which can carry outan accurate analysis of the spasticity. The algorithm has thevirtue of simple principle, quick convergence speed and obviousde-noising effect. The results of theoretical analysis and clinicalfindings are consistent with a high practical value.
