Biotransformation of Group B Soybean Saponins
Soybean saponins have a lot of physiological activities and pharmacological action, and can be used to resist cancer, adjust immunity, prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases, and so on. However, the activities of soybean saponins in natural form are not the best. In this thesis, biotransformation of group B soybean saponins was studied to increase physiological activity of soybean saponins. The strains producing enzyme that could hydrolyze the sugar-moieties of soybean saponins such as β-Dglucuronide, β-D-glucoside, β-D-galactoside, β-D-xyloside, α-Larabinoside, and α-L-rhamnoside were selected. The conditions of biotransformation of group B soybean saponins were optimized. New saponins with lower sugar-moieties and higher activities were obtained.
