Effects of municipal reclaimed wastewater irrigation on soil biochemical properties
The effect of irrigation of municipal reclaimed wastewater on soil biochemical properties in Bei Yechang irrigation district was studied. The results showed that reclaimed wastewater irrigation and freshwater was similar to a certain extent could increase the microbial biomass carbon (MBC) under different treatments , rotation treatment increased significantly among these treatments , and almost close to CK. Soil respiration highly negative correlated with microbial metabolic quotient (qCO2) in line with the growth of tomato ,increased with the amount of irrigation ,these two indexes can be used as bioindicator of the quality of soil irrigated with reclaimed wastewater. Besides ,N 、P and other nutrient elements in reclaimed wastewater were insufficient to meet demand normally in critical crop growth ,and a larger decline in soil quality ,should be imposed at this time of organic manure to maintain soil quality and fertility.
