An optimistic calibration numerical method for water quality model parameters with COD
Marine water quality model is complicated because of its multi-parameter and multi-response characteristic. In this paper, a new method based on data-driven model (DDM) is developed to retrieve the value of model parameters for model calibration. All training data are calculated by numerical water quality model from results of multi-parameter matching design cases. The basic idea is to find out the relationship between model parameters and the pollution concentration values of interior stations. Filed data is imported into the relationship for inversing optimal parameter. Case tests are carried out in Bohai Sea, China. Chemical oxygen demand (COD), and its sensitive parameters are considered for validating the present method. Case studies show that the present method can make a more satisfactory estimation for a practical problem.
