Synthesis and Photocatalytic Application of Hierarchical Macroporous TiO2 with Mesocellular Foam Structure using Eggshell Membrane as Template
Macroporous TiO2 with mesocellular foam structure was prepared using eggshell membrane as a single template. The as-synthesized catalyst was characterized by N2 adsorptiondesorption analysis, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The results indicate that hierarchical porous structure exists in the assynthesized TiO2 membrane. The mesocellular foam is composed of cell with diameter of about 20 nm and smaller window with diameter of 9 nm. It has been found that the macroporous structure of TiO2 obtained from eggshell membrane plays an important role in the photocatalytic performance.
