Preliminary Study on the Factors on Callus Induction of Phalaenopsis

The explants (root tip, shoot tip, stem segments and leaf segments) from Phalaenopsis hybrid were used in this experiment. The effects of NAA, 6-BA, AC, CM and above explants on callus induction on KC medium were investigated by using orthogonal design (L16（54）). The results indicated that the optimum medium for callus induction is 6-BA 4.0 mg/L+NAA 0.4 mg/+CM 100 ml/L+AC 0.4 mg/L, and stem segment was used as explant, and the highest induction rate was 52 % as well. The statistical results by SPSS11.5 showed that the hormones have significant effects on callus induction of Phalaenopsis.
